Nursing In Korea

Since 1903, when the nursing profession was legally established in Korea, nurses have been devoting themselves to the national development by volunteering to help not only those suffering from diseases, but also from other difficulties. Nurses have grown with you, paving the way for our country's growth, by participating in the Independence Movement during the era of Japanese rule, caring for the wounded during wars, and going out into foreign countries during times of economic hardship.
Today, nurses remain as the guardians of heath, and, as one of the top majority female professions in the country, assume control of public health, not only at hospitals, but also in regional community centers, schools, companies, and agricultural and fishing towns. We are currently distributing a 'National Health Calendar' so that the public can effectively manage their health on a daily basis. We share the pain of those needing our warm care. Korean Nurses Association, buoyed by the potential of its 220,000 Korean nurses, will make great contributions towards developing a more advanced vision with you.
Thank you.
